I met Kim for the first time at a friends birthday party and I immediately loved her. She was sweet, but also had the "take me as I am or don't take me at all. It doesn't phase me either way." I guess I'm a lot like that. Naturally we friended each other on Facebook. I've watched her little guy grow on social media, seeing him every so often at mutual events for common friends and I was smitten by him. What a cute kid.
He, as most toddlers, was not a fan of the camera. In the world of family photography this is common, and I assured her we were going to get great shots by choosing a lifestyle family session.
I love this little family. You quickly pick up on the love and bond they share. James and Kim are very tender-hearted parents, and also a great couple together. I look forward to photographing your family as it grows and you build more memories together. As Dexter changes every year in his personality and interests I want to be there and build this legacy for your family. As I soak in these photos I think they most represent HOW fun dad is (because dads are always fun, inventors of ice cream dinners and flying unimaginable heights) and a mothers nurturing heart.
What I love about your story is the day you can show him "see here is the year where you cried through most of your session" and you will all laugh.
